Standing Rib Roast
rib roast7 to 8 pound standing rib roast
Garlic salt & pepper

10 minced garlic cloves
¼ cup of balsamic vinegar
¼ cup of olive oil
¼ cup of teriyaki sauce
¼ cup of soy sauce

Pre heat oven to 500°.
Mix marinade well in a bowl.

Place roast on a rack in a Dutch oven baking pan, with fatty side up and rib side down. Apply marinade over rib roast, sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper. Let sit for 20 minutes before placing in oven.

Bake at 500° for at least 35, to 45 minutes. Place lid on and bake for another hour or less. It’s a good idea to have a meat thermometer placed in the middle of the roast. Roast should be ready when temperature reaches 125°.

Transfer the roast to a carving board, cover it loosely with foil and let rest for 20 to 30 minutes. Yum!
